Over 13,000 aspiring teachers take professional exam – TRCN
Image Credit: guardian- More than 13,000 candidates sat for the Teachers’ Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) conducted by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) in May.
- The exam was monitored by TRCN officials and was conducted smoothly across various centers despite some scheduling adjustments due to the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- TRCN Leadership emphasized the use of technology to create a public database of qualified teachers to improve accountability and quality in Nigeria’s teaching profession.
- Results of the PQE are expected within a week, and TRCN calls for better funding to enhance its operational effectiveness.
