Fortnite is back on iOS in the U.S. after 5 years

This marks the end of a long-standing conflict between Epic Games and Apple that began in 2020 when Fortnite was removed due to Epic circumventing Apple’s in-app payment system.
The dispute involved legal battles over Apple’s 30 percent commission on in-app purchases and restrictions on alternative payment methods, with courts recently ruling against Apple’s practices.
Fortnite’s reinstatement on iOS reflects a shift in the ongoing antitrust feud, signaling a win for Epic Games in their fight against Apple’s App Store policies.
