Bishop Oke urges President Tinubu to urgently tackle insecurity and economic challenges in Nigeria
Bishop Francis Wale Oke, National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), criticized the government’s response to insecurity, calling for the removal of compromised officials collaborating with criminal groups and advocating for decisive military action to protect citizens, especially in Christian-majority states like Benue, Plateau, and Taraba.
He highlighted the economic challenges facing Nigerians, urging the government to distribute wealth more equitably, fulfill pension obligations, and implement minimum wage policies to support vulnerable populations.
Oke emphasized PFN’s role in nation-building through education, social welfare, and job creation, particularly via faith-based institutions that promote discipline and values amid economic hardship.
The PFN also encourages active political participation among Christians, promoting grassroots involvement to influence governance and national development positively.
