AKA murder: court delay as defence lawyer is unavailable
Image Credit: timeslive.co- The pretrial conference for five men accused of murdering rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has been postponed at the Durban High Court.
- Senior prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba requested the delay because defence lawyer Simphiwe Mlotshwa is currently in Eswatini and will now represent all five accused.
- The accused, arrested in February 2024, face charges including murder, attempted murder, and possession of illegal firearms.
- The court adjourned the case to June 12, 2025, with the accused previously indicted in the high court.
