Nigerian singer Rema praised veteran Afrobeat artist D’banj at his sold-out O2 Arena concert in London, crediting him for pioneering Afrobeat’s success in the UK, especially with the hit “Oliver Twist” in 2012.

Rema acknowledged D’banj and producer Don Jazzy for opening doors for a new generation of Nigerian artists in the UK’s music scene.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying if D’banj never existed, neither would he, and declared his love for the veteran artist.

The concert drew over 20,000 fans and featured surprise guests and spectacular performances spanning Rema’s career.
