We’re intentional about transforming Akwa Ibom’s tourism sector — Gov Eno
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the state’s tourism sector by reconstructing the Ibom International Convention Centre and a 200-bedroom Ibom Hotel in Uyo.
These projects, alongside the ARISE Resort and Ibom Air, are integral parts of the ARISE Agenda, aimed at diversifying the state’s economy beyond oil and establishing Akwa Ibom as a leading tourism hub in Nigeria.
The governor emphasized completing abandoned projects to optimize public investment, praised past leaders, and highlighted the expected economic benefits for the state.
Local lawmakers expressed support for Governor Eno’s inclusive leadership and development goals as he seeks a second term.
