We ‘ve disbursed N24bn to 293,000 students, N30bn to 303 institutions

The National Education Loan Fund (NELFund) has disbursed a total of N54 billion since its inception: N24 billion to 293,000 students and N30 billion to 303 government-owned tertiary institutions.
Funds were allocated as stipends or upkeep for students across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
NELFund has received N203 billion to date, held in an account at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Managing Director Akintunde Sawyerr refuted recent allegations by the Independent and Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission (ICPC) about discrepancies in fund disbursement, noting the claims caused damage despite being recanted.
