Super Eagles legend John Mikel Obi has urged Chelsea to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen after the club missed out on him during the 2024 transfer window.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, finished the season as the top scorer and helped win the Turkish Cup and Super Lig title.

Mikel praised Osimhen as the best striker in Europe, highlighting his goal-scoring prowess and ability to win trophies, and emphasized that Osimhen’s childhood idol is Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Galatasaray are keen to sign Osimhen permanently, with club officials willing to match offers from other European teams.
