The United States Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos announced a suspension of operations on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day, a federal holiday in the US observed annually on the last Monday in May, honors American military personnel who died in service.

Routine consular services will be unavailable during the closure, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday, May 27.
