Ukraine Invited to NATO Summit in The Hague Amid Russia Invasion Tensions
Ukraine has been officially invited to attend the NATO summit scheduled for June 24-26 in The Hague, Netherlands, announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO officials.
This invitation comes amid ongoing concerns about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and US pressures on NATO members to increase defense spending.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine’s absence would represent a strategic win for Russia and urged NATO to provide security guarantees for Ukraine as part of any ceasefire or peace agreement.
The summit agenda is expected to focus on these issues, although specifics will be released later by NATO.
