Toyota remains the world’s top automaker in 2024, selling over 10 million vehicles and maintaining a fleet of more than 150 million on the road globally, representing around 9.1% of all vehicles in operation.

The brand’s best-selling model, the Corolla, has sold over 53.4 million units, while the Toyota RAV4 became the best-selling vehicle in the U.S., overtaking the Ford F-150 for the first time in over 40 years.

Transitioning towards electrification, Toyota has expanded hybrid and plug-in hybrid offerings and updated its electric bZ model with higher power, range, and Tesla Supercharger compatibility.

Despite a cautious approach to electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells, Toyota is leveraging its extensive vehicle base to grow revenue through used car sales, subscriptions, and financial services.
