Terrorism: Stop linking us, Nnamdi Kanu to Simon Ekpa – IPOB tells DSS
- The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly denied any association with Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra based in Finland.
- IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, accused the Nigerian Department of State Services (DSS) of falsely linking Ekpa to IPOB and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, branding such attempts as fraudulent and malicious.
- Ekpa, facing terrorism charges in Finland, has publicly stated he is not part of IPOB, which maintains a peaceful, lawful self-determination movement under Kanu’s leadership.
- IPOB condemned DSS’s media campaigns and accused the agency of human rights abuses against Kanu, urging the public and international community to reject disinformation.
