Super Falcons Beat Cameroon 2-0 in Friendly as WAFCON 2025 Looms
Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses 2-0 in a pre-tournament friendly at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex, Abeokuta.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade scored both goals in the first half, including a penalty and a team goal assisted by Rinsola Babajide.
Head Coach Justine Madugu called the win a “psychological boost” as the team prepares for the Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set for July 5-26 in Morocco.
The victory strengthens Nigeria’s position as a favorite for their 10th WAFCON title, having won nine previously.
