Sultan of Sokoto urges prayers nationwide for Nigeria’s progress and peaceful coexistence
Alh. Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, has called on traditional rulers and faith groups to pray for Nigeria’s progress and peaceful coexistence.
He led a special prayer in Sokoto following President Bola Tinubu’s request for continuous prayers from religious and traditional leaders to support the nation’s challenges.
The Sultan emphasized the importance of prayer in addressing societal needs and urged for organized prayers nationwide as Democracy Day approaches.
He acknowledged the efforts of security agencies and highlighted the ongoing hardships, especially in the North, calling on leaders to take more decisive actions.
