Spotify has introduced a new feature allowing iOS users in the United States to purchase audiobooks directly through its app.

This update includes options to buy individual audiobooks and additional listening hours beyond the 15 hours included with Spotify Premium.

The change follows recent adjustments to subscription purchases and stems from a court ruling related to Apple’s fees on in-app purchases, encouraging more external payment options.

Despite these shifts, Apple continues to challenge rulings while updating its App Store policies to permit external payment methods.
