Shehu Sani Urges North to Support South West Presidency in 2027 for Equity and Progress
Shehu Sani, former Senator representing Kaduna Central, has called on Northerners to support the South West in the 2027 presidential election to allow them to complete eight years in power.
He criticized past Northern leaders for failing to develop the region despite controlling the country’s affairs and urged the North not to be incited against President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Sani highlighted that the North produced two presidents, Umar Musa Yar’Adua and Muhammadu Buhari, with support from the South West and therefore urged reciprocity for the South West’s turn.
He also criticized the previous administration for failing to curb insecurity in Northern Nigeria despite Northern control over security agencies.
