Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Says Suspension Was Pre-Written, Alleges Senate President’s Overreach
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central claims her suspension from the Nigerian Senate was premeditated, describing it as a “pre-written script” rather than a reaction to her actions.
In an interview on Adeola Fayehun’s YouTube channel, she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of unlawfully overstepping his authority by ordering her removal and initiating her suspension unilaterally on the Senate floor.
Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that her suspension was retaliatory following her presentation of significant allegations and denied causing any disruption over seating as alleged.
She criticized the ethics report used to justify her suspension as a smokescreen and maintained that her rights were violated during the process.
