Senate Committee Commends NCDMB for Boosting Indigenous Control in Nigeria’s Oil Sector
The Senate Committee on Local Content has praised the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for advancing local participation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
During an oversight visit, Senator Ede Dafinone highlighted the progress of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park (NOGaPS) in Bayelsa State and commended the board’s capacity-building initiatives.
The NCDMB reported a 56% success rate in Nigerianising the oil and gas workforce and presented policy proposals to further enhance local content.
Senator Dafinone, however, refrained from commenting on the NCDMB’s request to exclude the Nigerian Content Development Fund from some revenue deductions, pending further legislative review.
