Saudi Arabia Suspends Blockwork Visas for Nigeria, Six African Nations Amid Saudization Drive
Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended the issuance of blockwork visa quotas to Nigerians and nationals from six other African countries, including Egypt and Algeria, as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The suspension affects new and pending temporary work visa applications and is part of restrictions covering 14 countries in total.
This policy will remain until the end of June 2025, coinciding with the conclusion of the Hajj season, amidst increasing Saudization efforts mandating higher employment of Saudi nationals.
Employers from affected countries will face delays in processing previously approved quotas, with no new block visa quotas issued targeting these nations.
