Trump warned that Putin’s ambition to control all of Ukraine could lead to Russia’s downfall, marking a significant change from his previous more favorable stance towards Putin.

The attack coincided with a major prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia, while Ukrainian and European leaders called for stronger sanctions against Moscow to halt ongoing aggression.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for increased international pressure, stating that silence only encourages further brutality from Russia.
