During a meeting at the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump accused South Africa of “White genocide,” claiming numerous white farmers had been violently killed amid land ownership disputes.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa refuted these claims, emphasizing that the government does not support such violence and denying any confiscation of land from white farmers under new land expropriation laws aimed at addressing historical inequalities.

Ramaphosa highlighted that the high crime rate in South Africa predominantly affects black citizens and called on Trump to listen to South Africans’ perspectives to understand the situation better.

Elon Musk, a native South African and Trump adviser, was also present during the discussed meeting, amidst ongoing controversy over the validity of “White genocide” claims.
