Qualcomm has officially confirmed that its next flagship Snapdragon chip, likely named Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, will be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit 2025 from September 23 to 25 in Maui, Hawaii.

The new chip is expected to be built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process and feature Qualcomm’s second-generation custom Oryon cores and the Adreno 840 GPU.

There is uncertainty if Samsung’s Galaxy S26 will use this Snapdragon chip as it may instead include the Exynos 2600, possibly splitting the lineup with European models using Exynos and others Snapdragon.

Qualcomm may also produce a Galaxy variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 on Samsung’s 2nm process, which could delay its integration into the Galaxy S26 series.
