Portable Defends Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido Against Activist’s Criticism Over Wealth Display
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has defended the “Big 3” music stars—Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido—against criticism from social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM), who accused them of flaunting wealth without helping society amid economic hardship.
Portable reminded VDM of Davido’s charitable donations and Burna Boy’s generous gift of N20 million to him, highlighting their contributions beyond luxury displays like expensive cars.
Portable also addressed past conflicts with VDM, who previously called for his arrest over an alleged assault incident, stressing the difference between online criticism and real-life interactions.
This exchange underscores ongoing public debates on celebrity wealth, social responsibility, and online activism in Nigeria.
