Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, visited Niger State on June 2 to support victims of devastating floods in Mokwa Local Government Area.

The floods have caused over 153 deaths, left more than 1,000 people missing, and displaced over 3,000 residents.

Obi pledged an initial ₦20 million donation to aid the government’s relief efforts and called for unified national support.

He was accompanied by former Minister Nenadi Usman and met with Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba during the visit.
