Oyo State Distributes 10,000 Bags of Dangote Rice to 30,000 Vulnerable Residents in Poverty Alleviation Drive
The Oyo State government has launched the second phase of its Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) program, distributing 10,000 bags of rice to 30,000 residents across 33 local government areas.
The food relief targets socially disadvantaged groups such as widows, the elderly, disabled individuals, and underprivileged citizens to alleviate poverty and improve welfare.
This initiative is in partnership with the Aliko Dangote Foundation, which donated the rice as part of a nationwide effort to aid vulnerable populations.
The Aliko Dangote Foundation plans to distribute one million 10kg rice bags across Nigeria in 2024, complementing government efforts in economic empowerment and nutrition.
