Over 11,000 Children Vaccinated Against Killer Diseases in Kano Through Pfizer-Funded Project
Technical Advice Connect (TAConnect), funded by the Pfizer Foundation, vaccinated over 11,000 children under two against killer diseases in Kano State within 12 months.
This accelerated vaccination project targeted 15 local government areas, many with zero-dose children, focusing on pentavalent, rotavirus, and measles vaccines.
TAConnect also engaged communities to dispel vaccination myths and integrated maternal and child health education, reaching over 5,900 women and referring 2,500 for additional health services.
Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board commended the effort and noted the government’s commitment through a dedicated routine immunization budget line.
