Nurse arrested after infant's c0rpse went missing

A nurse named Munashe Ganyiwa was arrested after the disappearance of an eight-month-old infant’s corpse from the mortuary at Chitungwiza Central Hospital in Zimbabwe.
The infant, Emmanuel Charindapanze, was declared deceased by Nurse Ganyiwa following sudden medical complications, but his body went missing when parents returned for burial arrangements.
Hospital staff could not locate the infant’s remains in the mortuary, and the nurse speculated the body might have been mistakenly cremated, causing distress to the family.
Authorities have launched an investigation into potential violations in the handling of human remains, with police confirming the nurse’s detention.
