Nigerian Customs Officer Awarded ₦5 Million for Arresting Enugu Ritualist at Seme Border
Prince Ugochukwu Orji, a Nigerian Customs officer, was rewarded ₦5 million for arresting Ichie Billion, a wanted ritualist from Enugu State attempting to flee to the Benin Republic.
The arrest occurred at the Seme Border after a nationwide manhunt and Orji’s recognition of the suspect, who attempted to bribe him during detention.
Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, an industrialist and APGA senatorial aspirant, presented the reward as part of his company’s corporate social responsibility to promote integrity and moral values.
Onunkwo called for official recognition of Orji’s bravery to encourage truthfulness and accountability within Nigerian public institutions.
