Nigeria to Launch New National Industrial Policy to Revitalize Manufacturing Sector
Senator John Owan Enoh, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Industry, announced the upcoming launch of a new National Industrial Policy aimed at revitalizing the industrial sector by addressing key challenges like unreliable power supply and high logistics costs.
The draft policy will be revalidated with input from industry stakeholders to ensure practical, results-driven implementation, focusing on short- and long-term solutions within defined timelines.
The Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG) meeting emphasized moving from policy dialogues to concrete actions, targeting job creation, industrial revival, and regulatory reforms.
Key thematic pillars include innovative financing for SMEs, reliable energy and transport, strengthening anti-counterfeiting measures, and workforce skill development aligned with Industry 4.0.
