The Nigerian Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, announced that Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations will be introduced in 2026 to combat exam malpractice and impersonation.
This initiative follows a successful pilot phase and aims to address delays in exam question delivery and tackle rogue websites.
The CBT will utilize existing JAMB CBT centers nationwide, ensuring no student is excluded regardless of location.
Currently, 1.9 million candidates are sitting for the May/June 2025 WASSCE, supervised by around 26,000 teachers across 23,554 schools.
