Nigeria Customs Partners with Stakeholders to Enhance Rail Cargo Transport at Apapa
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Apapa Command held a meeting with stakeholders including the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), clearing agents, and freight forwarders to enhance trade facilitation and optimize cargo movement via rail.
Comptroller Babatunde Olomu emphasized the need to improve logistics through multimodal transport, aiming for seamless trade processes benefiting all parties.
The NRC’s Head of Operations, Akin Oshinowo, highlighted ongoing cooperation with NCS and expressed alignment with the agenda to boost rail transportation in Nigeria.
Stakeholders praised the initiative for its potential to lower import costs and improve cargo distribution efficiency nationwide.
