NiDCOM Boss Receives 10 Nigerian Human Trafficking Victims From Ghana, Two From Mali – Independent Newspaper Nigeria
Image Credit: independent- The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), led by Chairman/CEO Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, received 12 trafficked individuals, including 10 girls from Ghana and 2 from Mali, ranging from ages 5 to 35.
- The victims, from various Nigerian states, were deceived with false job promises and suffered sexual abuse, physical assault, and emotional trauma.
- NIDCOM pledged to provide logistic support for family reunification and work with state governors on rehabilitation efforts.
- The girls were transferred to NAPTIP for profiling and documentation, with calls for strict prosecution of traffickers to combat modern slavery.
