NDDC Denies Ownership of Cross River Nyanghasang Road, Slams Federal Lawmakers for Politicization
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has denied involvement in the Nyanghasang community road project in Cross River State, attributing it entirely to the state government.
Orok Duke, NDDC Commissioner representing Cross River, stated that the road project originated under former Governor Liyel Imoke and is being continued by Governor Bassey Otu’s administration.
Duke criticized federal lawmakers for attempting to claim credit by quickly asphalting sections of the road without proper documentation or local government consent, calling such actions misleading and politically motivated.
The NDDC emphasized its commitment to transparent processes and collaboration with the state, condemning the politicization and misleading branding of public infrastructure projects.
