The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has commissioned an e-Health project at the state Specialist Hospital in Akure, Ondo State, to improve healthcare delivery through Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The project integrates digital technologies like electronic patient records, telemedicine, and streamlined workflows to enhance diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, especially for remote patients.

Executive Vice Chairman Dr. Aminu Maida highlighted this initiative as part of Nigeria’s digital economy agenda, emphasizing collaboration between the public sector and technology experts as key to its success.

The e-Health project aims to boost patient satisfaction and health outcomes while serving as a scalable model for healthcare facilities nationwide.
