Mitchell Elegbe, founder and CEO of Interswitch Group, has been reappointed to the global jury of the 2025 Ernst & Young (EY) World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, making him the only African entrepreneur on the panel for the second consecutive year.

Elegbe was inducted into the 2023 WEOY Hall of Fame as the only black and African global finalist and the only person to have won both emerging and master category awards in West Africa.

The 2025 EY global jury comprises former finalists from eight countries and will convene in Monte Carlo, Monaco, in June 2025.

Recognized globally for his pioneering role in Nigeria’s payment innovation, Elegbe has received numerous awards and has significantly contributed to Africa’s economic growth through technology and financial services.
