Lady Gaga Wins 2025 Sports Emmy for ‘Hold My Hand’ Pre-Super Bowl Tribute to Disaster Victims
Lady Gaga won a 2025 Sports Emmy for her pre-Super Bowl performance of “Hold My Hand,” which paid tribute to victims of the New Orleans terror attack, Hurricane Helene, and the Los Angeles wildfires.
The performance aired on February 9 and featured Gaga playing piano on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street, introduced by NFL legends Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, and Terry Bradshaw.
Gaga, along with producers and music editor, earned the award for outstanding music direction, competing against notable sports documentaries and specials from Prime Video, HBO Max, ESPN+, and Netflix.
This win brings Gaga closer to achieving EGOT status, having previously won an Oscar and 14 Grammys, needing only a Tony to complete the honor.
