Former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan received the Nigerian Content Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Champions of Nigerian Content Award ceremony hosted by the NCDMB and Sweetcrude Ltd in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The awards recognised individuals and corporate bodies excelling in local participation within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, with Jonathan credited for signing the Nigerian Content Bill in 2010 and promoting local industry development.

Other notable recipients included Engr Tony Attah as Nigerian Content Icon of the Year and several companies like Shell Petroleum and NLNG Limited for outstanding contributions across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.

The awards, judged by measurable performance criteria, were presented during the Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) 2025 to celebrate pillars of Nigerian content advancing national economic growth.
