JHomes to Launch Monthly Rent Platform in Nigeria to Tackle Housing Affordability Crisis
JHomes, a tech-driven rental platform, will launch on July 1, 2025, offering Nigerians the ability to pay rent monthly instead of the traditional one to two years upfront payments.
Led by Dr. Oluwasegun Adebiyi, the platform aims to eliminate large upfront payments, agency fees, and hidden costs, making housing more affordable and accessible.
JHomes supports various property types and provides multiple contract options, including formalizing existing informal leases and restructuring agreements into monthly plans.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts by Nigerian states like Lagos and Enugu to regulate landlord practices and improve rental affordability amid the country’s housing crisis.
