Microsoft Bing’s IndexNow protocol now supports real-time indexing and structured data for e-commerce platforms, helping keep product details and shopping ads up to date across search engines using IndexNow.

Amazon and Shopify have announced their adoption of IndexNow, with Amazon starting mid-June and Shopify already integrated, allowing faster product update detection and reducing unnecessary web crawling.

The protocol leverages schema.org/Product structured data fields such as price, availability, and unique identifiers to improve indexing for organic search, shopping surfaces, and ad experiences.

This update benefits e-commerce retailers by streamlining product updates on Bing and other search engines, enhancing timely visibility of product changes without separate merchant feeds.
