I’m Leaving PDP, I Don’t Have Wike’s Kind of Strength – Akwa Ibom Gov, Eno
Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has announced his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) due to internal party leadership crises and lack of support for his pro-President Bola Tinubu stance.
Eno cited his inability to openly support President Tinubu while remaining in the opposition PDP and contrasted his position with that of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who he says has the strength to confront party issues.
He emphasized his commitment to good governance and his confidence that he would win reelection despite the party challenges but cannot risk legal setbacks from internal party conflicts.
Eno highlighted the lack of ideological differences in Nigerian political parties and expressed his desire to join a party aligned with his support for the current president.
