Ijaw President Says It’s Acceptable If Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Joins APC for Peace
Benjamin Okaba, President of the Ijaw Nation, stated that it would not be wrong for suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to promote peace.
Okaba made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief programme on Thursday.
He emphasized the need for realism in Nigerian politics, noting that political parties have become mere platforms for contesting elections rather than ideological entities.
The comments highlight ongoing political dynamics and party shifts in Nigeria ahead of future elections.
