IBM Replaced Hundreds of HR Workers With AI, According to Its CEO

IBM CEO Arvind Krishna confirmed that the company has replaced several hundred human resources employees with AI technologies.
The layoffs were offset by new hires in programming, sales, and other critical thinking roles, leading to overall workforce growth.
AI automation tools like IBM’s AskHR and AskIT agents have significantly improved productivity, saving $3.5 billion over two years by automating routine HR and IT tasks.
IBM continues to expand its generative AI division, introducing products that allow customers to create AI agents capable of performing complex tasks quickly, competing with similar offerings from Amazon, Nvidia, and Microsoft.
