Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the release of ₦5 billion to pay outstanding gratuities owed to retirees in Adamawa State.

He emphasized strong collaboration with labour unions and assured full implementation of the new minimum wage despite earlier fiscal delays.

The Governor pledged to harmonize the wage structure across all ministries and departments once outdated salary laws are repealed by the state assembly.

State NLC Chairman Comrade Emmanuel Fashe praised the administration’s pro-labour policies but raised concerns about salary discrepancies in certain MDAs and institutions.
