The Federal Government of Nigeria plans to sell a 753-unit housing estate recovered from former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele by the EFCC.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has taken possession of the Abuja estate and will conduct thorough assessments to ensure the buildings’ safety and suitability for habitation.

The sale will be conducted transparently, open to the public and for special government needs, with nationwide advertisements and an online portal for expressions of interest.

EFCC Chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede emphasized the government’s commitment to fighting corruption and ensuring recovered assets benefit the public.
