Elon Musk says he’s committed to being Tesla CEO in 5 years — unless he dies
Elon Musk reaffirmed his commitment to remain Tesla’s CEO for the next five years, stating he would only step down if he dies, during a video interview at the Qatar Economic Forum.
He emphasized his priority is maintaining control over Tesla’s future rather than financial gain, amid ongoing legal disputes over his pay package and concerns about his leadership.
Musk addressed Tesla’s sales challenges, particularly in Europe where sales dropped 37%, but expressed optimism about the company’s overall performance and recent stock price recovery.
Tesla’s board chair also denied reports of seeking a new CEO, reinforcing confidence in Musk’s leadership.
