Elon Musk criticizes Trump’s ‘big, beautiful’ Tax bill
Elon Musk criticized President Donald Trump’s new tax and spending bill, expressing disappointment that it increases the US budget deficit instead of reducing it.
Musk, appointed by Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), questioned whether the bill could be both “big and beautiful,” as Trump labeled it.
The legislation, passed narrowly by the House and pending Senate approval, is estimated to add $3.8 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
Musk highlighted that the bill undermines the efforts of his department, which aims to streamline federal operations and save taxpayer money.
