Couple fakes wedding plan, dupes friends of N5M ‘Aso Ebi’ money
Image Credit: gistreel- A Nigerian couple reportedly orchestrated a fake wedding scheme to defraud over 100 friends of N5 million by charging them N50,000 each for ‘Aso Ebi’ attire.
- After collecting payments, the couple sent low-quality materials, sparking suspicion and leading to their live interrogation on Dr. Hamzat Oriyomi’s radio station.
- They confessed there was never a real wedding and planned to fake the bride’s death to avoid questions about the event.
- They admitted receiving N3 million and N2 million respectively but claimed to have spent all the money with no refunds given.
