In Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, residents largely disregarded a sit-at-home order called by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB) to honor fallen Biafra heroes.

The city experienced normal human and vehicular movement with businesses, banks, markets, and offices operating as usual, although some schools closed due to fear.

The atmosphere remained calm and peaceful without the presence of security agents, and people engaged in their daily routines.
