Beyoncé Receives Cease-and-Desist From Sphere Over ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Footage: Reports

The owner of the Sphere venue has sent Beyoncé a cease-and-desist letter over unauthorized footage showing her holding a depiction of the Las Vegas venue during her Cowboy Carter tour.
The letter, addressed to Beyoncé’s production company Parkwood Entertainment, claims the use of the Sphere’s image misleads fans and was done without permission from Sphere Entertainment Group.
Sphere CEO James Dolan, who previously attempted to negotiate a Beyoncé residency, was reportedly upset by the unauthorized use, while Beyoncé will perform at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium this summer.
The letter states other aspects of the video were cleared with rights holders, but the Sphere venue’s prominent appearance and manipulation were not authorized.
