“Be patient with me” – Tinubu begs Nigerians, says better days ahead
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urged Nigerians to be patient and assured them that positive changes are underway despite current economic hardships during the inauguration of a 30 km segment of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
He highlighted improvements including reduced inflation, cleanup of foreign exchange, and limits on fuel subsidy corruption, alongside efforts to promote local production.
Tinubu warned developers against unauthorized construction on federal land, emphasizing no compensation will be given for such breaches.
Minister of Works David Umahi confirmed that N18 billion has been spent compensating affected parties and detailed the highway’s design and property preservation efforts.
